About David Comas

If you are interested to know something about me then you can read the info below.

Who I am

Hi there,

My name is David Comas and I was born in Barcelona (Catalonia) in 1976. I'm a telecommunications engineer graduated from the Techincal University of Catalonia (Barcelona) in 2000. After that, I was a student visitor in the University of Southern California in Los Angeles (United States). I am currently living in Barcelona, working as a Technical & Sales Manager in a Spanish R&D Center.

As I was growing up, I started enjoying the pleasure of traveling, knowing other people, other cultures, other ways to live... At home, as a kid, I always had a photo camera around, and sooner than later I found out that my old mom's Voigtländer camera could be used for something else than taking family party photos. Traveling and photography became an interesting mix, one of my big passions.

I wanted to step on the five continents before turning 30, but Oceania's plane ticket prices were way too high for my budget :( Hopefully I'll be there soon :)

I've always had a passion for the sea. But it wasn't until 2005 when I started diving. In 2008, when I was confident enough and not that much of a rookie anymore, I had the chance to buy a used Sea&Sea underwater case for my camera, along with a fish-eye dome, a macro port and a strobe. Underwater photography is a completely new world, a new challenge... and I love it!

Photography and Scuba diving are only hobbies that allow me to escape from my main job, not my way of living. However, if you're interested on buying my photos or using them for something, contact me using the form below and we'll arrange something.
